HOW IT WORKS
Independent Bill-Only Financial Control
Trauma Spend sits between the Bill-Only and the purchase order—reviewing what was billed before the hospital commits to it.
THE WORKFLOW
One Added Step. No System Replacement.
No replacement of existing ERP, EHR, or procurement systems. The audit layer is additive—the hospital keeps final control of every approval.

How Savings Are Measured
Potential savings are tracked at identification. Validated savings are recorded only after the hospital confirms the corrected amount, keeping reported results conservative and defensible.
When an Exception Is Identified
The exception is documented with the SKU, the billed amount, the contracted or expected amount, the variance, and the supporting reference. It is routed for review and vendor clarification before approval.
What the Hospital Does
The hospital receives a reviewed Bill-Only with any potential discrepancies documented, then approves and creates the purchase order in its existing procurement system.
What the Vendor Does
The vendor continues creating Bill-Only documentation exactly as it does today—same reps, same process, same paperwork. Nothing about the vendor's system changes.
What Trauma Spend Does
Each Bill-Only is submitted for independent review. Our audit engine evaluates pricing against contracts, item and SKU details, quantities, product rules, procedure logic, and historical vendor behavior. Specialist reviewers validate every finding.
How Findings Are Documented
Every finding carries an audit trail: source document, applicable contract reference, reviewer notes, resolution, and outcome—so the hospital can defend each decision.
